Mark Bergmanis

Mark Bergmanis, has joined Vertical Datacom as our Houston, Gulf Coast, and Southern Louisiana Representative. Mark comes to VDI after most recently being National Account Executive and Agent for a national Real Estate firm based in Illinois. Before taking that position, Mark had 15 years of running his own manufacturers’ representative firm in Kansas City, MO. Prior to establishing his own rep firm, Mark was Regional Manager for Brand Rex Company and designed and developed a lot of industrial cables and military cables for accounts in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Texas. Brand Rex was the first manufacturer to offer a NAVSEA approved LSZH fiber optic cable for shipboard use, which was specified by McDonnell Douglas for their Advanced Tomahawk Weapons Control System in St. Louis, MO. Brand Rex was also the sole manufacturer of IBM cables for the IBM Cabling System back then, which brought Mark into contact with a lot of IBM’ers and into the world of Datacom. For most of those 15 years, the Bergmanis Technical Sales line card was identical to Vertical Datacom’s and Mark Bergmanis and Mark Smith spoke frequently about combining the two companies and covering the entire Central US. Mark is already familiar with all of VDI’s lines – several he represented for a long time and several he introduced to VDI. We’re thrilled to have Mark’s knowledge and sales expertise onboard and know he’ll be a big asset to our customers.
